I have heen thinking about this for a while now and cant make up my mind because i keep condridicting my self i was looking at the KW v3's because of the softer settings which if my theory is right then these would be best
reason for thinking is the standing mile runs are done on air strips so there is no need to be really stiff cause it so smooth..
but then i thought wouldnt stiffer be better because of the pavement used.. just need help ... thanks
you need very good high speed damping control at high speeds. The reason for this is you need your tires to maintain contact with the ground and if you have poor control the car can bounce on the expansion joints that most runways have.
so the KW v3's would still be my best bet
I see a lot of Porsce and other high end imports have these
Definitely a KW coilover of some sort with independently adjustable rebound and compression dampening. The variant 3s should be ideal since they also have the ability to be revalved if needed. You should be ok with the factory settings though. I'm curious what type of setups the standing mile fwd cars use. I'll assume something similar to a drag setup for maximum traction.
the record holder is a vw golf with 700hp and they did 208mph i cant seem to find anything on that car tho

I remember reading an article in Eurotuner about that car. Let me see if I can find that issue.
1997 Volkswagen GTI - Jeremy Freedman - Eurotuner Magazine
That the right car?
All I see listed about the suspension is Hamp;R Coilovers.
wow that helps out alot now i know what tires to use... hoosier r6 it is for me
Hamp;R are german also so i can understand them using these i just need to know is weight so i can get close to it a make more power and hopefully get close to it
I'm sure the motec launch and traction controls are big factors when trying to efficiently put down as much power as possible.
