I need some help. I have a new Adrenalin sport pylon racer from Hobby Lobby and a couple of spare duralite 3 cell 1050's. The plane calls for an AXI 2208-20 with a 6.5X6.5 prop. I think this is too much for the batteries I have (10.5c with 14c burst). Is this true? What would be a good alternative motor? I love the performance in the HL video of this plane. I would like to match that with the equipment I have.
I think the motor is fine, but drop the prop a little to maybe a 6x5.5 or 5.5x4.5.
The cells are the biggest contributior to performance, and that little AXI is as good as anything else, so why not use it?
What you really need are some chunkier LIPOS...
Yea I agree. I might go with some 1600 lipos. Someday I'll find a use for those 1050's. Mabey run them parallel in my Ultimate.
1050s are ideal for geared speed 400 or speed 300 type motors. |
