Unable to communicate with pcm??
Had my DSP sitting in the box for a month or two and I went to use it today and it wont connect with my pcm:S
So I figured I'd try and update it and it wouldn't connect with the computer either, or let me see my datalogs.
I used it on my s2 PCM and flashed it back to the original, then it sat in the box for a while, tried to use it on my stock pcm today and got that. It powers up and says quot;predator is unmarriedquot; when you go to info. Its only been used maybe 5 times for datalogging and tuning
Any ideas??
I've been told by a buddy who works at the dealership that it's the OBD port itself and it's common since they are garbage. I've also been told it's the DSP cord on rare occasion. Chances are you'll have to splice in a new OBD port.
Check the cig lighter fuse, diablo told me to check that when mine wouldn't comunicate..
if the fuse is good go to autozone and have them hook up there scan tool, if it connects than your obd port is fine and the dsp cable needs to be replaced...they get real brittle inside the casing where the hand held and cord meet

Thanks, I tried it again today and it worked, so maybe it's a problem with the cable getting brittle.
We don't have autozone here in Canada but I have used other scan tools and they worked with no problems so my bet is on the cable.
i just got my dsp repair and its doing the same thing , hopefully its just a fuse ..
I've been pulling teeth with Diablo for the past week trying to get a new cable sent.
The cable isn't something you can easily replace with a Predator, I can see why DS wouldn't send you one.

Will they let you get an RMA?

Cable only plugs into the PCB with what looks like a generic radio port they wired up. A few screws and some gentle hands and its no big deal.
I'm tempted to RMA the unit but the price for a new cable vs. RMA is quite substantial.

Is it under warranty (2 years?)?
