How hard would it be to fit a 4.28 first gear in our case, or closest thing to it. And what would be the actual radius and tooth count on the gears.
Why!!

This isnt a honda it has the TQ to pull through gears
Goes along with my next question. How hard would a 1.20 final be?
I would think you would want a smaller 4th gear, to improve ET and trap speed, or kick some ass on the highway.

Final Drive Comparison
Have a look at that link and it will answer your question... I'm pretty sure you don't have the power to run 500MPH...
Curious are you trying to get your post count up to access for sale section? =)

Never know, dude.
This has nothing to do with post counts. I have what might be concidered a stupid idea. But to make sure it can even work before I begin buying the needed supplies for the project I need to know if those gear ratios can fit in case around our shafts.
And to be exact. Top speed of the vehicle would be 244 mph. I've done my math and know what im asking.

Chill, I was trying to make a joke. So you plan to put a 1.2 final drive in and that works out to 244?
To be exact.
1st 4mph to 32mph
32 to 48
48 to 72
72 to 108
108 to 162
With the exception of first gear that is 4000 to 6000 rpm pull in each gear.
And better yet. If the 5.0 and 1.2 fit in the case like I asked. I would never once use an overdrive gear
Yes those are about right for a stock transmission with those shift points. If you put a 1.2 final in you will see right around 530MPH with stock sized tires and 6k redline. I don't know if it would fit ect, but I cannot see how you can hit 244 with that sized final at the end of any gear. In 3rd you will be going nearly 300mph and in first 110. But I don't know anything, so carry on Hopefully someone else can chime in and tell you if those gears will fit. |
