Started up the car this morning.
As I was pulling out the battery light came on.. Then 15 seconds later it went off again.
It continued to do this throughout the rest of the day, until finally the battery light amp; abs light came on and the car began idling uneasy, and bogging down. The car wouldn't start after this happened, then 10 minutes later it would.
I would start driving it and it would do it again maybe 10 miles later.
Some extra info that might help:
Positive part of my battery had a on off switch. (!?) bought it that way.
Car has an apexi turbo timer.
Car is lowered and I bottom out quite a bit, especially during pulls.
Installed 93 dsp tune today.
Car is pre wired for an amp and sub.
Stage 1 ECU.
Car did this with and without the DSP.
Do you have any trouble codes? Turn the key on, then off, then on, then off and finally back on again. Don't start the car. You will see codes where the miles are.
how old is the battery? I'd probably take the car to a parts store to have them check the charging system to make sure it's putting out the right voltage.
Also make sure that those amp wires aren't touching anything important. And you said you have an apexi tt can't you check voltage through that?

no problems with the voltage. and I just fixed it last night. It was something to do with the positive battery terminal. i replaaced it with a normal one from autozone and havent had a problem since. |
